The radar technology for non-contact level measurement has been reserved for large tanks in sewage treatment plants up to now. This procedure was only of limited use for smaller containers. A new generation of radar sensors for level measurement now enables use for very small volumes also.
The current series of OKO-aquaclean flotation plants and emulsion breaking systems therefore use this method for level measurement in the flotation-froth chamber and as overfill protection according to the German Water Act. In contrast to the vibration limit switches used previously, non-contact level measurement is insensitive to contamination by the medium to be measured. Cleaning, as with level limit switches, is no longer necessary. The older series of OKO-aquaclean flotation plants and demulsification systems can of course be retrofitted.
